Somehow I missed this when Digital Nation was first being broadcast on
PBS and all the education community was going NUTS arguing with it.
This is the crowdsourcing portion of the project. People and avatars
from all over the US (and probably some other places as well) sent in
pics, videos, comments, discussion, questions, arguments … all about
how being online has changed their lives for better or worse. The
categories include Family, Learning, Overload, Life, Relationships,
Avatar Stories, Six Word Stories. And the people? Librarians,
teachers, musicians, geeks, researchers, students, fashionistas,
writers, editors, autistic folk, lovers, people with disabilities, …
so many stories, I can’t imagine having the time to browse them all
even in transcription, must less in the YouTube list.
