SDHC Card got its memory wiped out. Advice?
I have a Marantz PDM620 digital audio recorder. The recorder records onto an SDHC card (SanDisk 4 GB). As I was downloading a wav file to my laptop (Mac 10.4.11) via USB, the computer froze, so turned the power off of the laptop. I turned it back on and tried to access the memory on the SDHC card, but it appears that my memory has been completely erased! There were 4 audio files of varying lengths on it that are really super important. Does anybody know of any “archive” or something where I can restore the memory onto the SDHC card (or my laptop)? Since data is data, I’d recommend trying one of the utilities that is recommended for recovering photos from flash memory cards. Google finds about a billion of them if this one doesn’t recover your files.
One note of caution, if there has been other read/write activity on the flash card since you lost the files you may not be able to completely recover your lost files.
