Intro To the Marantz Recorder
The Marantz is an audio recording device that is available to book out at the EDC. When you are booking out your Marantz recorder, make sure it comes with the recorder itself, an AC adapter that plugs the device into the wall, and an USB cable so you can retrieve your media. The Marantz operates with 4 double A batteries which you have to provide yourself. Or, if you are close enough to an outlet, just plus the AC adapter to the wall and run it off the outlet. You will likely need to an XLR and mic to go with your Marantz booking. So make sure to mention that to the friendly EDC staff. Typically, you will want to book a Shure SM58 as your mic of choice.
