I want to know if I hide it in a room, set to record for like 3 hours, will it be completely silent without any clicking of any kind, and will it record for that long with no one being aware of it (no noise coming from it).

sure, could be done. recording voices in a situation where people have a reasonable expectation of privacy could lead to legal difficulty if done without a court order.
