Does anyone know how to save it as an mp3 file?

go to download.com-> search for audio converters-> convert the .wav to .mp3 and burn it. taadaa!

You can’t save it as an MP3, you’ll have to convert the .wav to MP3. This program does it: http://www.freeware4pc.com/multimedia/freerip.shtml and also does a very good job of ripping MP3′s.
