its not a problem with the light, I once took it to the theaters and recorded a movie, and even I didnt notice the light
I got it and its great. Although I accept that the flashing is a great weakness. If u wear a dark jacket and it dim outside the flash can be reflected and is noticable. This is a weakness that needs addressed. Its also bigger than a an average pen, smaller would be nice but they got the usb issue to deal with. Overall its fn and ace. i never leave home without it. Unfortunaltley cant trust cops now a days!!

That’s the only way to know if it’s recording. It’s easy to cover also with tape.
oh WTF?? why the hell would you want it to flash while it’s recording?? That’s so stupid. Talk about blowing it’s cover! Say if you had it sitting on a table or surface where it is viewable from all angles, someone would probably notice that, especially in low light. Covert is key! One could probably push some black putty or something like that in the hole assuming it’s recessed a little, that would cover it up.
i got it, its a usb cable. try to connect it directly, it worked for me. but i got at this time new one, with 1280×960

Try a hard reset, stick a paper clip in the hole below the status light, or reformat the disc. That usually helps.

about 2.5 hours on the internal battery, though some people have taken them apart and connected larger batteries. Then it’s up to the memory. 42 seconds of video is 5.50MB, so it’s about 130kb per second, or 7.8MB per minute, or about 2 hours of video per GB. So you can get about 4 hours on the 2gb, but the battery will die at the 2.5 hour mark.
Excellent, download a clip on the product page, under “Pocket DVRs”, “Special Application DVR’s”. We had problems getting them, though we will have them in by the end of the month, and now they are bumping up the recording to 30 fps!. Right now, we have an .avi format one called the Business Portable Recorder that records at 29 fps!
