How do I charge my Sony ICD-B600 digital voice recorder?

Question by jekiaf: How do I charge my Sony ICD-B600 digital voice recorder?
I tried using my USB chord but it didn’t work. There are batteries inside the recorder but they are brand new, so I know its not the batteries. Also, the back says plug in power, so I’m assuming it needs to be charged.
This is what it looks like

You don’t. It is not designed to recharge the batteries. The Sony ICD-B600 Digital Voice Recorder uses two each disposable AAA batteries, and does not have a battery charger/recharger function built in.
You can use rechargeable batteries in it, but you would have to buy the rechargeable batteries and a compatible recharger unit. When the battery charge becomes low, you would then need to remove the batteries from the device, place them in the recharging unit, and when the recharging cycle is complete, insert the batteries back into the device.
