OK so i have a sony handycam hdr-ux3e but it has no mic input so far i have been recording the audio separately using a zoom h2 portable mic. But i no longer have access to the zoom! 
so i need a new way to record audio on a budget! preferably £60 and below. the camera has a hot shoe but only takes sony mics. Im looking for a Tie-clip mic without the wireless, something that will record onto an sd card perhaps. i would like a cheap mini recorder that i could chose which mic it uses. i know my budget is a big limit on the possibilities. Any suggestions! Even silly ones! Thanks!!
LL- this would be a good option but i live in the uk so the postage for the adapter is £50 and the item £25 so i have a total cost of £70 without having bought the mic! bit of a problem. it looks like there are no cheap options for my price! i will wait until i have a better camcorder with mic input! o well. thanks anyway!

If you need a longer cable, I do not suggest just getting an extension. That lng (and extended cable) will basically turn into a big antenna and you risk ruining the captured audio because of interference being picked up…
Or, the Zoom H1 is affordable, though more than your budget…
